The Developer

Ama Casa Props 88 Pty Ltd is owned jointly by two Norwegian developers – Johnny Svendsen and Are Haugen, who have extensive property development experience, both in Norway and South Africa.

Johnny Svendsen first came to South Africa in the 90’s and fell in love with Amanzimtoti. He built the block of 27 upmarket aparmtents called Amawele in Beach Road and then went on to do a 13 unit commercial development in Southgate business park called Norge Industrial Park.

His latest development called Nordic Industrial Park in Cato Ridge is a sectional title warehouse complex on 66000m2 land, which is nearing completion.

The History

After living in the house owned by a friend at 35 Wavecrest Road, the location of Wavecrest Views for several years, he saw the potential, bought the house and decided to share this exquisite property with others.

Are Haugen is his business partner in Norway. He has visited South Africa several times and fallen in love with it’s beauty He is responsible for their Norwegian developments and as a master craftsman, he appreciates quality.

Together they provide the highest standard of design and construction, offering a pro-active, and professional hands on approach to all aspects of the building and development process.
